Welcome to the 2006 SEC Men's Basketball Championship

Greetings to sports fans and people who are curious as to what exactly happens behind the scenes at the SEC Championships. Mississippi State University is fortunate enough to have three graduate students attending the men's basketball championship in Nashville. Tony Schmidt and Katie Walden are graduate students pursuing their masters in Sports Administration while assisting in the media relations department for MSU Athletics. Both students will be working in media relations with the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament this week.







The two students will be blogging their accounts each day to provide a detailed look at what happens at major sporting events. Contrary to popular belief, the teams do not just show up and play basketball as much more is going on behind the scenes. Feel free to ask Tony and Katie questions about the events or share your comments on their experiences.
